Industrial Mechanic neededFood Industry – Maspeth Queens, NYFirst shift. Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm, Fridays/Sundays 8am - 1pm. GUARANTEED 40 HOURS PER WEEK plus AT LEAST 6 hours OT WEEKLY. PLEASE NOTE – This is NOT a Custodial job – this is for a MECHANIC and maintenance person who knows how to maintain and repair machinery and equipment.The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical equipment and surrounding facilities without supervision or assistance. Especially looking for candidates with experience in food or pharmaceutical industries.Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and restore equipment to working condition.
Handle various general building maintenance tasks.
Use electrical skills to identify and fix equipment issues.
Apply problem-solving skills to daily tasks. Report issues that cannot be fixed to the Maintenance Manager.
Set up and take apart machinery and equipment as needed. Repair or replace broken parts on machinery.
Follow all safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
Carry out any other assigned duties.
