IT Application Support Analyst QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
  • Detailed analysis for the assigned incidents related to underwriting application
  • Detailed analysis for enhancements/other requests for underwriting application
  • interact with business contact/other users to understand the details of the issues or requirements related to enhancements
  • Document the details of issues/enhancements in ticketing system
  • Interact with other technical teams within IT including 3rd party vendor(s), infrastructure support team, any relevant downstream application support teams in regards to investigation/resolution of issues
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to apply fixes/changes to Underwriting application, as required for resolution of the assigned incident/request
  • Communicate with business customer(s), Business Relationship Manager, Application Support Lead etc. on the progress status, any resolution or workaround details
  • Perform any relevant application administration activities
Knowledge/Experience/Skillsets
  • Strong experience in customer service as it relates to IT Production Support operations
  • Excellent verbal/written Communication skills
  • Experience as an application support analyst in a leadership role
  • Experience working with 3 rd party software providers(preferred)
  • Strong technical background to be able to understand various integration points and effectively coordinate resolution with various IT Teams such infrastructure and/or other application teams
  • Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance industry
  • Basic understanding of Azure cloud technology(preferred)
  • Experience in Ticket/SDLC management systems such as ServiceNow/Jir
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple incidents/requests
  • Experience working in collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor's degree in IT information security, or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years total experience in various IT roles
  • 1-5 years working experience in application production support
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates cultural competence through the ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures
