Title: IT Help Desk Engineer Location: midtown, NYCJob type: contractHourly rate: up to $27.00 JOB RESPONSIBILITIESEnd user education:- Translating user/setup and troubleshoot manuals and other related documents Tier 1 – 2 Level Helpdesk support:- Troubleshoot/Answer the questions regarding Windows OS and Office applications- Troubleshoot/Answer the questions with regard to the proprietary and package systems used in the company- Interact and cooperate to resolve the problems with Network/Server and Application Team- Helpdesk support for onsite and remote sites via telephone, hands-on and remote access- Take helpdesk support calls/emails and create troubleshooting record tickets- Answers all helpdesk calls in a timely manner with desktop support (going to the users’ desk when needed)- Communicate well within helpdesk and escalate issued to adequate teams- A reactive/proactive approach to problem trouble-shooting and collaborating with internal operational staff as needed to restore and/or enhance system performance.- Troubleshooting areas include but not limited to:PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, monitors, iPhones and iPads- Prepare and setup the video conference system- Setup, Install and replacement of Desktop/Laptop PCs- Prepare and monitor loaner laptop inventory- Upgrade/Update various SWs and update backup data- Maintenance of IT Asset/Service Charge and SAP Data- Perform hardware and software installations REQUIREMENTS:- Excellent communications and customer interaction skills required- Punctuality and reliability are critical to this role- Positive work ethics and professionalism is required- Strong knowledge or Windows OS, MS Office and other applications, Installation/Troubleshooting SW/HW of computers- Helpdesk support experience in enterprise environment is preferred- Business-level Japanese language skills required EDUCATION- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field.
EXPERIENCE- About five-year experience of IT technical support
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT- General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, scanner, personal computer, calculator, etc.
- Software includes the use of Windows operating system and MS Office applications.
- LanDesk, SCCM, Polycom, Crestron and/or Windows Server 2016/2019, preferred.
