Eligibility may vary.Position descriptionThis is a full-time remote position in the United States.Mayo Clinic is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and maintain the automated test suite for Mayo Clinic websites on the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites platform. We are currently undergoing a migration that will move MayoClinic.org, a site that sees 2 billion sessions per year, to the AEM platform. This migration includes new alignments to shift-left testing strategies as well as new automation tools. The team will be responsible for writing tests that will leverage Perfecto, Applitools, Blazemeter, and GitHub advanced security.A strong candidate for this role should have the following skills:Knowledge of software testing methodologies, such as manual testing, automated testing, and continuous integration
Experience with test management tools, such as ADO, JIRA, or Zephyr
Familiarity with programming languages, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, for automation testing purposes
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of API testing, performance testing, security testing, and other types of non-functional testing
Experience with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or TestNG
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, GCP or Azure, for testing in a cloud environment
Understanding of software quality metrics, such as reliability, maintainability, and usability
Communication skills will be a priority as this position will require working closely with the Product Owner, Dev Team and other stakeholders. Knowledge of Agile frameworks, work management tools (TFS, Jira), DevOps practices will be advantageous.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; Or an Associates’ degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with an additional 2 years of experience as described below.Have working knowledge and experience of Software Engineering with a minimum of internships and a minimum of 1 yr. of experience, or 2yrs of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (C, C, Golang, Java, C# etc.).
Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
Possesses strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions.
Experience with modern application development frameworks
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Agile software development techniques.
Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.Additional qualificationsPreferred qualifications for this position include:Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud-based services.
Experience with Google and Azure cloud environments
Experience in databases, analytics, big data systems or business intelligence products
Experience with building high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systems.
Experience developing software for healthcare related industries.
