Janitor

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB. Maintain the cleanliness of building and grounds. Perform general repairs and upkeep of plant. Remove refuse and recyclable material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Cleans; restrooms and fixtures, windows, drinking fountains, tables, and floors

2. Removes cardboard to recycling bin

3. Removes trash

4. Loads reusable setup for salvage and stores bins

5. Operate forklift

6. Supplies toilet paper, towels and soap where needed.

7. Pick up debris from plant grounds and parking lot

8. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products

9. Supplies clean mops, buckets and mop water for all departments.

10. Operates, maintains and cleans shop floor scrubber and carpet cleaner

11. Cleans shop floor and keeps floor free of liquid spills

12. Vacuum carpets

13. Follow all OSHA, EPA and Parlec regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; however, no prior experience or training is required.
