Role description:The position is for an experienced senior developer to work on a global development project within the Prime Finance IT division of Client. The successful candidate will join a team based in New York to develop and integrate a new global Prime Finance global platform built utilizing the latest technology and utilizing service-oriented architecture as part of a broad strategic reengineering programme. Prime Finance Technology team is a global team of developers and business analysts spread across New York, London, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Tokyo.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of a global development team with responsibility to deliver Prime Finance system solutions in a series of phased deliverables. This will involve the following:
Build next generation of our Prime Finance system based on micro service and event-based architecture
Deliver solution from inception to analysis, design, implementation, and delivery
Work with global team across US, EMEA and APAC, Mumbai
System support and maintenance
Partner with traders, Front and Middle office users to gather requirements and provide support

Skills Required

Excellent core Java and Spring Framework design and development skill (3+ years)
Good Database development skill with proficiency in writing queries and stored procedures (3+ years)
Understanding of message-based architecture based on MQ / JMS / TIBCO (2+ years)
Understanding of micro service architecture
Linux/Unix shell ( 2 years + )
Python ( 1 year + )

General Skills Required

Excellent interpersonal skills
Good team mentality and communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects
Experienced and willing to be part of all SDLC stages of development
Unix/Linux commands knowledge to perform some of the deployment and maintenance related activities
Experienced in using Maven or Gradle, GIT/SVN, Jira, Jenkins, and other build and deployment tools
Good problem solving and analytical skill

Business Skills Optional

Knowledge of Prime Services or
Knowledge of securities lending systems or
Knowledge of Prime Brokerage systems
