Senior Specialist, Full-Stack Developer to join our Enterprise Data Platform team. This role is in New York City, NY - HYBRID

Team overview: The Enterprise Data Platform is dedicated to generating actionable insights to improve processes and business performance. At its core, the Enterprise Data Platform is a highly scalable and reliable data sink. It ingests, stores, and provides access to massive quantities of data that is used for a wide spectrum of use cases from monitoring Straight Through Processing to measuring employee productivity through Workforce Analytics and everything in between. In this role, you-ll make an impact in the following ways:

Design and Implement key components of Enterprise Data Lake Platform
Customer Focused - understand how engineering decisions result in added customer value.
Results Driven - able to drive for results, not merely finding the boundary of your responsibility, but following a problem through to its conclusion, to solve it once and solve it right.
Data Driven - Leverages data to understand customer experience and inform future investments.
Technical Excellence - brings technical excellence. This is not merely knowing the latest and greatest language developments, but demonstrating a passion for technology, a curiosity to -go deep-, and an ability to quickly learn and build upon past experiences, to be able to extrapolate from those experiences, and deliver innovations. Technical excellence is rooted in having a strong demonstrable aptitude for problem solving.
Support and maintain existing functionalities and on-board new functionalities to existing applications.
Code services and User Interfaces in Spring Boot, Java, Angular frameworks

To be successful in this role, we-re seeking the following:

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline - 10+ years of experience in software development required.
Experience in
Java Technology Stack,
Angular, and
REST API
Experience in Messaging technologies like Kafka and MQ
Experience in Cloudera Platform (Kudu and Impala) is big plus.
Experience in Snowflake, Apache Storm/Spark is big plus.
Experience in Docker containers, Maven, Junit, integration testing frameworks, cypress, Karma, Jasmine
Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases (Vertica, Kudu, Oracle, Elasticsearch)
Experience with Agile methodologies

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 7-9 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Job holder must have understanding interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans. S/he must have prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies. BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $89,500 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
