Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in New York, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing monthly reconciliations, providing detailed analyses, and preparing daily and monthly journal entries. You will also assist in annual audits and other finance-related assignments.Responsibilities: Prepare monthly reconciliations for various bank accounts Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions and reconciling items Prepare daily and monthly journal entries to record account activity, including foreign current transactions and translation Participate in the annual external audit and special projects Prepare balance sheet and income statement account analyses as well as monthly/quarterly/ ad hoc reports Assist in other Finance-related assignments Complete other tasks and duties as assigned Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close. Requirements Applicant should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary for this role. Applicant must be knowledgeable in handling General Ledger. Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries is essential. Applicant should be capable of handling Month End Close procedures. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred. Applicant should have a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required. Applicant must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze financial data is essential.
