Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team in Ronkonkoma, New York. This role is primarily focused on handling various accounting functions, specifically in areas of general ledger maintenance and accounts payable. Responsibilities: Maintain and update credit records on a regular basis Provide general ledger support and produce financial reports as required Handle accounts payable duties, including coding, managing expenses, handling invoices, and conducting check runs Manage credit card expenses, conduct monthly payments, and perform credit card reconciliation Handle cash and donation receipts and manage point of sale (POS) systems Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks Online for various tasks Maintain good vendor relations and handle any related inquiries or issues Prepare and record journal entries as part of general accounting functionsRequirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems. Solid understanding and execution of Accounting Functions. Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP). Ability to conduct Auditing tasks. Skilled in Credit Card Reconciliation. Experience in managing Credit Card Statements. Expertise in Financial Reporting. Familiarity with General Ledger. Proficiency in Quickbooks Online. Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries.
