Junior Woodworker/Fabricator – Full-Time or Part-Time

At Brownstone Door Co., we’re woodworkers by trade but engineers and mechanics at heart. We take pride in crafting custom wood entry doors designed to last a lifetime, and we’re looking for a like-minded individual to join our team.

If you’re someone who, from a young age, loved taking mechanical things apart—watches, computers, anything with moving parts—just to understand how they worked and put them back together with precision, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Junior Woodworker/Fabricator, you’ll be hands-on in the fabrication of custom doors, where precision and accuracy are essential. Your responsibilities will include:

- Building door slabs and assembling components with care.

- Fabricating moldings using a molder, mitering, and installing them on doors.

- Installing door hardware and ensuring proper functionality.

- Following structured fabrication processes

- Reading and following shop drawings to execute fabrication accurately.

- Operating woodworking equipment and tools essential to the production process.

- Maintaining a safe and organized workspace while working efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

- A strong mechanical mindset with an eye for detail.

- 2-4 years of full-time experience in a professional woodworking shop

- Commitment to personal growth and improvement.

Position Details

- Open to part-time or full-time candidates.

- Pay rate is $22-$30/hr, depending on your hands-on experience relevant to our fabrication process, with the potential to earn weekly bonuses by meeting production targets while adhering to our quality standards.

- We offer 6 paid holidays a year, accrual of 5 PTO days and 5 sick days, paid transit benefits, 401K with a 6% company match after 3 months for full-time employees.

- Annual paid holiday shutdown from Christmas to New Year’s Day.
