Laborer & Inventory Clerk

This position will consist of physical labor associated with delivery and pickup of construction -related materials and/or debris and assisting in inventory-related duties in supply house.

Skilled Job Functions:

1. Loading and unloading vehicle with construction materials, debris, etc.

2. Driving vehicle to and from construction assignments

3. Pick-up of material from various local suppliers

4. Drop-off of construction materials and other items for delivery

5. Facilities cleanup

6. Assist in supply house stocking and inventory activities, including unloading and sorting construction materials in stockroom, sorting, labeling, counting.

7.Other inventory related activities

Skills Required:

General knowledge of construction materials

Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English (bilingual Spanish speaking a plus)

Ability to use tools and equipment properly and safely, including motor vehicles

Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl talk and hear

Vision abilities (with correction) including close, distance, peripheral, depth and the ability to adjust focus

Able to work in all weather conditions

The employee will frequently be required to walk, stand, sit, bend, climb, reach and use hands

The employee will regularly be required to crawl, kneel and lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 lbs.

Other Requirements:

Valid NYS Driver’s License and motor vehicle record review

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Punctuality and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Salary:

Commensurate with Experience and Work Performed, but not less than $16 - $20/Hour

Work Authorization:

United States work authorization required.
