Lean Agile Coach is a remote role for individuals who reside in NY. The Lean Agile Portfolio Coach role will help the Client systemically improve their ability to deliver digital transformation at a pace needed for them to succeed. This role will bring expertise in Lean portfolio management and Agile scaling design (SAFe), training and coaching teams, and allow the engagement team to blend the right Agile, Lean, Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, DevOps and Kanban practices to address the Clients objectives. The role will collaborate with product managers, solution architects, Client partners and engagement leaders and provide leadership. The role will embed the right Lean Agile behaviors and instrumentation/OKRs within Lean Agile squads to optimize health and maintain cadence. This role is the key to value delivery excellence across a variety of consultancy engagements. Main Responsibilities: Provide portfolio-level coaching, servant leadership/direction to ensure best-in-class Lean Agile solutions that enable client success. Manage and optimize flow of value through the Lean Portfolio/Agile-Release-Train using tools including program and solution kanbans. Design and deployment of scaling frameworks including SAFe and innovatively apply to programs/portfolios of Client activity Drive our Client to move from Project to Product, developing and ensuring delivery as committed to by the cross-functional delivery team Apply tailored Lean Agile principles and Lean Agile portfolio management to suit Client engagement and value creation Coach Clients, Leaders and Team members to adopt agile ways of working, Design thinking, and a servant leadership mindset Coach Clients and colleagues to adopt agile ways of working, Design thinking, and a servant leadership mindset. Act as the Chief Scrum Master/Lean-practitioner and embody the 12 traits of a Great RTE. Provide guidance/management to all to ensure goals are met Use data and insight to continually improve and evolve the Lean Agile community of practice. Develop case studies and provide thought leadership. Create an environment that facilitates positive team health. Grow and develop a high performing multi-skilled Lean Agile practice. Collaborate with the Agile Program Management Office (APMO) to build program execution and operational excellence to leverage in other engagements Communicate and collaborate with product and solution management, product owners and other stakeholders to guarantee the alignment of strategy and execution. Troubleshoot any program issues, baselining and understanding key metrics and prioritizing remediation plans Ownership of Lean Agile Health checks and delivery instrumentation. Mentor/nurture to improve all colleagues and work culture Requested experience: A minimum of 5-8 years operational experience working within Lean Agile teams delivering on project portfolios, ideally aligned to Agile programs A minimum of 5 years operating within a consulting environment ideally from a leading consultancy firm or internal equivalent Experience leading multiple Agile teams (e.g. using Scrum of Scrums, as an RTE or Kanban Lead) Qualifications in a scaling framework such as SAFe SPC or Certified Kanban Management Professional, and Lean practitioner accreditation is ideal Experience of running multiple delivery teams and coaching them to adopt, adapt and sustain Agile ways of working Experience in Programme Delivery and management of a portfolio of delivery increments for example as an Product Manager, Chief scrum master, Lean portfolio owner, with accountabilities for managing client delivery while practicing and fostering systems thinking and servant leadership Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with top-level stakeholders up to CxO level, and through all hierarchical team levels
