- The candidate should have a minimum of 4 to 7 years' experience with responsibilities in the analysis, design, programming and implementation of information systems including vendor product in a corporate environment.
- Candidates must be able to learn quickly, assimilate new concepts, and think analytically.
- Excellent communication skills are required, as the candidate will routinely interact with various business groups both within and outside of IT.
- Driver's license required.
- Utility experience is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Math/Science or Engineering) is preferred.
- Knowledge of the following is preferred: Linux OS, Kornshell or Bash scripting, PL/SQL, SQL Developer or similar tool, .Net development, Web/Windows development, Web Service, Version Control Software (git and/or TFS), SDLC, Windows OS, MS Office.
- Knowledge of the following is a plus: Perl, Python, Weblogic, working knowledge of Message Queueing (e.g. IBM MQ), Websphere, Apache/IIS, some knowledge of Mapping/GIS and working knowledge of Biztalk middleware platform, SQL Server.
- Previous work experience in the utility industry and a general knowledge of Outage applications (or similar application) and Electric Distribution System is a plus.
- Information Technology seeks to hire a highly motivated and dedicated professional to maintain and support the Outage Management System (OMS). OMS is our main application for managing outage restoration process.

- The candidate must be well versed in Linux environment and scripting, developing and maintaining 3rd party and in-house applications and experience with relational databases such as Oracle database and database tools.
- Must be able to debug and trace log files, Kornshell scripts and PL/SQL.
- Implementation of new patches and configuration updates to the vendor product as new updates come in or when required by the Control Center.
- With minimal guidance, candidate must be able to effectively maintain and update mission critical core and in-house applications
- In addition to performing programming/debugging activities related to new system development.
- The candidate must be able to document step-by-step deployment process.
- Support, troubleshoot, monitor and optimize vendor product and in-house applications.
- Responsible for migrating code changes from Development, Test and Production environments.
- Develop and support in-house applications that support and interact with vendor product.
- Maintain detailed documentation of issues and the changes that are implemented to resolve them.
- Provide 24x7 on call support on a rotating basis.
- Open Service Requests and work with other support group to evaluate and impact, test and perform post pre and post update validation for Oracle DB and Linux patches.
- Work closely with other technical groups to manage and address any issues with physical servers, permissions, cluster issues and BizTalk (integration services) for Middleware orchestrations.
- Implement and adhere to agency Cyber Security policies and procedures.
- Ensures Company safety, health and environmental.
- Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
