The Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the care delivery team. The Licensed Practical Nurse communicates the needs of the patient and the team; collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, takes direction from the RN and delegates appropriately to the other members of the team.STATUS: Full TimeLOCATION: Clifton Springs Hospital & ClinicDEPARTMENT: Med/Surg (1200)SCHEDULE: Day/Night, Rotating weekends and holidaysATTRIBUTESGraduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent required.Current LPN licensure in the State of New YorkBLS Certification from American Heart AssociationRESPONSIBILITIESPatient Care & Service. Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team membersDocumentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record processPreparation. Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stockedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)PAY RANGE: $24.75 - $30.75The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.
