Req Number 117965Job DescriptionPerforms a variety of associated tasks pertaining to ongoing operations, mainte-nance and installations that impact the hospital. This person is fluent in the de-partment's policy and procedures for repairs, installation, construction, mainte-nance and emergency response. This person also has a strong knowledge of Joint Commission, NFPA and other AHJ.s codes, policies and requirements.Job ResponsibilityUnderstands and operates all building operations mechanical equipment such as generators, ATS switches, Fire Alarm System, HVAC Chillers, Water Supply, Boilers and medical gas systems and all associated equipment.Performs routine rounds of facility equipment and records information in service logs, make adjustments / blow down and/ or restarts equipment as needed.Repairs furniture, office equipment, door closers, hinges, faucets, drains.Layout and install new shelves, soap dishes, paper towels holders, coat strips, crash rails and wall bumpers, etc.Perform electric repairs, maintenance and installation; including but not limited to; replace/ install circuit breakers, repairs power feeds, ballast replacement/insulation, outlet and switch replacements/insulation, light bulb or fixture replacement/insulation.Reads and interprets blueprints independently to perform carpentry repairs, maintenance and installation; including but not limited to; furniture / desk top installs, ceiling tile replacement, hung ceiling repair and installation, wood and metal framing sheet rock installation.Performs plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations; such as but not limited to; brazing and soldering skills, toilet stoppages, faucets, replacement of supply and drain piping; but not including piping new mains or additions that require Plumbing Licensure.Performs painting repairs, maintenance and installations; such as but not limited to; ceramic tile repair and installation, sheet rock taping and spackling and painting.Performs HVAC repairs, maintenance and installations: such as but not limited to; BMS system adjustments, minor duct installations and repair, grill replacement, thermostat replacement/installation, filter replacement and minor fan motor replacement.Utilizes, trains and operates engineering computerized work order system.Assists in snow removal, salting and sanding around building access areas.Responds to emergency situations and serves as a member of the fire response team.Performs related duties as requiredJob QualificationHigh School Diploma or equivalent, required.5 years experience in Engineering or Building Maintenance, required.
