Maintenance Technician For Buildings

Maintenance Technician,

To join our Nation Wide organization as an integral part of our team in Orange County NY.

The Technician will provide professional, courteous and efficient maintenance for Government facilities.

We are not a job placement company; you will work directly for us.

The Technician will often work with other maintenance technicians.

Our maintenance contracts require a few monthly visits.

In NY/PA and 1 in Maine, the more distant sites are visited monthly, unless there is an emergency. The distant sites sometimes require overnight stays until complete.

We provide vehicles, and pay for all meals and lodging.

Most of our work will be PM maintenance of:

Lighting.

HVAC PM’s, (filters, belts, pumps, grease etc.)

Light Plumbing.

Electrical.

Mechanical equipment.

Doors & Locks.

Primary Responsibilities

Trouble shoot and make repairs.

Identify, recommend, and implement preventative and on-going changes to preserve or upgrade equipment.

Inspect fire and safety systems for all areas of the facility.

Handle work order requests as prescribed.

Coordinate subcontractor work that may be required and inspect completed contractor work.

Excellent attendance is a must.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient with cell phone e-mailing, text messaging and sending photos.

Ability to provide brief photo reports from a cell phone of completed work orders.

Repair skills & proficient with tools.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally in English and in writing.

Ability to work effectively as a team contributor.

Ability to work overtime for emergencies or to complete repairs.

Required Experience.

3 years previous well-rounded Commercial maintenance experience.

Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting (approximately 50 lbs).

Climbing (ladders, stairs, scissor lifts, etc.).
