This is a Contract to Hire Opportunity with a Fortune 250. This role is responsible for leading and managing employee-facing and executive communications, training, and awareness at the global enterprise level for cybersecurity.
Title: Manager, Head of Cybersecurity Awareness & TrainingNOT A PM ROLE Location: Targeting local NY candidates first, will consider remote candidates secondaryDuration: Likely to convert to FTE at end of contract (for the right candidate)W2 Candidates only and must be willing and able to convert Must have skills:Awareness and Training are must have skillsShould be someone with more of an L&D background vs communications or tech writingWants someone who knows how to adapt messages to the needs of audiencesIdeally someone with a Cybersecurity background but they are open to someone without if they have a strong training and awareness backgroundShould have communications skills, ideal if they can also write some comms (not a good fit for just a comms professional)Must have good energy Key Responsibilities• Prepare presentations and other program communications collateral for different audiences ranging from entry-level non-technical employees to high-level executives• Coordinate and create communications collateral for employees, cultivating a security savvy culture• Own the Enterprise Cybersecurity and Risk intranet site and communications portal, curating and crafting communications material, a resource library, and awareness & training content• Own and manage the monthly cybersecurity and risk newsletter and accompanying video (Please note: this role is responsible for coordination of behind-the-scenes video production including script, not speaking in the video)• Own and manage the annual mandatory cybersecurity training course• Identify industry best practices for cybersecurity and risk awareness & training and find opportunities to apply those in our environment• Identify and drive opportunities to enhance communications with creativity and innovation to engage audiences in new ways• Serve as the “Keeper of the Enterprise Cybersecurity & Risk Brand Voice.” Work closely with the Executive Director and CISO to craft and continually refine ECR’s Brand Voice. Ensure all ECR content and collateral is aligned with that Brand Voice.• Manage communications, training, and change management needs for capability launches, working closely with the project teams from kick-off to closure to identify target audiences and craft bespoke audience-specific communications, training, and change management collateral• Facilitate discussions with project teams to tease out communications and change management needs and drive coordination and delivery of those needs• Serve as a thought leader and thought partner with ECR leaders to identify opportunities for enhanced communications and engagement Key Skills• Keen sense of writing with the ability to translate complex technical, cybersecurity, and/or risk-related topics into easy-to-understand content for a non-technical layperson audience• Ability to think and operate independently and strategically, identifying communications gaps and needs, and coordinating with appropriate cross-functional stakeholders to craft and execute plans to address those gaps and needs• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders ranging from highly technical to non-technical across multiple levels of seniority• Ability to think and execute proactively, staying abreast of new cybersecurity tools and capability• Knowledge of current cybersecurity best practices, tips & tricks, and current events and trends across the cyber threat landscape• Ability to apply those cybersecurity best practices, tips & tricks, and current events and trends across the cyber threat landscape to our unique operating and cultural environment, crafting bespoke communication and awareness & training material for it and its various stakeholder groups• Ability to think globally, be aware of and sensitive to cultural and environmental nuance and manage communications collateral across multiple languages (Please note: language skills are not necessary, only the awareness that many communications will need to be produced in multiple languages. This role will coordinate with the appropriate teams for translation.
