Manager of Enterprise ApplicationsA key member of the growing Applications & Development team, Manager of Enterprise Applications will have overall responsibility for the Firm’s enterprise applications and platforms including firmwide legal, document management, records, new business & conflicts, finance, marketing and human resources systems. The Manager of Enterprise Applications will manage a team of application engineers and oversee Enterprise Applications roadmaps and upgrades, projects deliverables and operational activities.

Reporting Structure:The Manager of Enterprise Applications will report directly to the Director of Applications and Development.

Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the Enterprise Applications team which is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the Firm’s enterprise applications and systems integrations.Deliver performance evaluations, establish professional development goals and mentor staff. Responsible for managing the day-to-day team activities.Foster a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instill the principles of this culture in the team.Conduct on-going Team Meetings to review operational issues and manage projects delivery. Delegates tasks, organize, and motivate a team of talented software engineers.Responsible for the production support of all enterprise applications and providing subject matter expertise on related business processes and functionality.Responsible for ensuring that the team adheres to project management standards and for reporting the project status to business owners and IT management.Establish operational procedures to: (a) ensure high performance and ongoing stability of all systems; (b) utilize the Firm’s robust data center facilities and highly redundant infrastructure to ensure high availability and minimal downtime of all systems; and (c) maximize efficiencies in Information Systems (IS) operations.Coordinate with the IS teams to ensure the health and management of the enterprise applications environments, monitoring, upgrades, maintenance, and licensing.Implement disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures around all platforms and applications. Contribute to the IT strategy by developing technology roadmaps, assessing new capabilities and recommending/and or proposing solutions to create client value and contribute to Firm’s competitive advantage using legal technologies.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars and keeping current with the latest technologies.

Position Specific Skills and Requirements A minimum of 4 years’ experience managing teams and leading enterprise-wide projects and initiatives preferably in a law firm environment.Experience with Enterprise Applications such as iManage WorkSite/DeskSite/SPM, Elite, Sharepoint, IntApp Open, Legal Key, Compulaw, viDesktop, HighQ and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI and SQL Server Integration Services.Experience in SQL Server Database Administration utilizing High-Availability architectures.

Education and General Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with strong academic record.
  • Professional certifications a plus.

  • Attendance Requirements:
  • On site / off site during normal working hours as per firm telecommuting policy, and available as necessary before or after normal working hours to work at the Firm, over the telephone, or at off-site meetings, in order to meet the demands of the job and the needs of the Firm.
  • Expected to carry a wireless email device and respond when necessary.
  • Travel Requirements:
  • Ability to engage in off-site travel as required from time to time, in order to meet the demands of the job, and the needs of the Firm.
