Candidate will demonstrate personal leadership, initiative, judgement, and accountability in day-to-day work activities in addition to exhibiting strong planning/organizational skills. Must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate integrity and cooperation in working with diverse colleagues/groups.How You Will Achieve ItThis position is a 1st Shift Manufacturing shop floor Manager/Team Leader. The scope of the position includes 10-20 direct reports of several different job titles. Key accountabilities include day to day management of the shop floor schedule, ensuring all processes are completed in a manner meeting safety and quality requirements, and supporting/driving process improvement initiatives.The Manager/Team Lead Aseptic Manufacturing is responsible for but not limited to the following:

Leadership of Sterile Micronization, Gel, Formulation, Filling, and Prep that supports the manufacturing of Sterile Injectables.

Effective leadership of work team.

Managing the daily operation.

Ensuring that applicable safety guidelines and policies are followed.

Observing that cGMP's are followed.

Production SOP's are upheld.

Production schedules are met.

Define metrics and strategy to achieve results.

Responsible for assisting in the implementation of lean management principles on the shop floor.

Act as coach and mentor to transform team into a cohesive, harmonized team.

Responsible for counseling colleagues to assure proper development for their success.

Supporting all colleagues to enable them to reach their full potential.

Provide corrective action when necessary.

Ensure timely performance feedback and appraisals for all team members.

Demonstrate personal leadership initiative, judgment and accountability in day-to-day work activities.

Strong planning/organizational skills.

Possess strong communication skills.

Demonstrate integrity and cooperation in working with diverse colleagues/groups.

Strong technical skills.

Requires developing strategies and systems to improve process performance.

Focus is on leading/overseeing defined processes and production colleagues, which may require deep, detailed knowledge.

Will troubleshoot and solve production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.

Requires understanding of compliance, pharmaceutical, pharmacological, biological, biochemical, medical and microbiological factors.

Able toadapt and respond positively to situations and people in order to meet changing work unit priorities.

Ability to work in cross-functional teams with focus on deliverables, timelines, and meeting customer expectations and requirements.

Qualifications

Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience;

OR an associates degree with 8 years of experience;

OR a bachelors with at least 5 years of experience;

OR Masters Degree with more than 3 years of experience;

OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience.

A strong personal motivation and aptitude for coaching, leading and managing individuals and teams.

An aptitude for understanding process technology and equipment, proven leadership ability, decision making ability, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

Candidate must possess flexibility to respond to constantly changing conditions and priorities.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Expected to spend majority of time on the shop floor and be trained in the appropriate gowning.

Job will include standing, walking, and sitting.

This position is in a Penicillin facility. The candidates must not be allergic to penicillin.

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements

Core hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday through Friday).

Job may require occasional weekend, alternative shift, shutdown, holiday work supporting the production schedule.

Limited travel may be required.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,900.00 to $161,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
