The Global Corporate Finance Operations (GCFO) team is a multi-functional global organization providing essential support services and solutions to the Investment Banking division of J.P. Morgan. The Market Data Strategy team within the GCFO is responsible for building and maintaining a best-in-class portfolio of market data product access to support all aspects of the Investment Banking business.Join our team as a Market Data Strategy Vice President within our Global Corporate Finance Operations (GCFO) team. Reporting to the Market Data Strategy Director, you will be responsible for sourcing and selecting information services in support of Investment Banking (IB) deals and strategic initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor to IB management, providing expert recommendations for new data sources and opportunities for cost savings and transitions to alternative platforms.Job responsibilities:

Leverage deep understanding of the market data landscape and investment banking deal cycle, coverage areas and products to identify and select the best market data solutions for our bankers and technologists

Lead commercial negotiations with market data vendors and manage best-in-class suite of market data products as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team including bankers, research, technology, business management, Market Data Services, Global Supplier Services, Third Party Oversight & Legal

Continuously scan the landscape for emerging data products that can provide a competitive advantage to the firm

Provide advice and guidance to business leaders , bankers, researchers and technologists on the differences and nuances between market data products, enabling coverage, product and technology teams to efficiently and effectively access the right sources to support their work

Learning & Development - Advise bankers and researchers on new functionalities, content and tools in the JPM market data ecosystem; provide access to training to insure efficiency and successful adoption

Advise senior management on potential cost savings measures and lower cost alternative sources, guided by firmwide data initiatives, investment banking client management priorities and vendor relationship strategies

Develop and showcase expense management dashboard and reporting to support business management agenda

Build strong relationships with vendors and industry leaders to insure understanding of new technologies, opportunities and industry trends, enabling JPM to strategically time launches of new products and technologies and to retain its edge in contract negotiations

Escalation point for vendor issue resolution , partnering with Supplier Services, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Accounts payable and vendor as required

Design and implementation of product trials , including scoping, goal setting, results collection and analysis and documentation of results

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

5+ years of experience as a user of research and market data tools like Factset, S&P Capital IQ, Dealogic, LSEG Workspace, Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, Pitchbook, Boardex, Euromonitor, Bureau Van Dijk or similar.

Experience with market data vendor management and contract negotiations

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree required, preferably in Library & Information Science or Business

Strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex concepts to a variety of audiences and levels - including to senior management, project contributors, technical and business facing partners.

Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities independently.

Initiative-taking, energetic, results-oriented, curious and attention to detail. Exhibits a continuous improvement mindset towards all duties.

Project management experience

Intermediate Excel skills

Good understanding of market data inventory systems, processes and procedures

Domain Knowledge in Investment Banking

Experience designing QlikSense dashboards
