Join us and make a difference.POSITION SUMMARYThe Material Operations Technical and Logistics Support Manager oversees the Logistics and Technical departments within Material Operations to support warehousing, cryogenics, and dispensary functions. The position oversees the Logistics department to ensure seamless transport of materials to network partner sites and customers, import/export of materials, and transport of materials to and from off-site storage. The position also oversees the Technical Support department to provide holistic alignment among the Material Operations departments to support the site strategy through change controls, project management, and continuous improvement.Duties/Responsibilities:Accountable for the supervision and execution of all Material Operations technical support activities as well as logistics activities (imports/exports) for the Syracuse site.

Provide support for investigations relevant to Material Operations where required. Supervises Material Operations medium and high risk investigations as required.

Authoring of local change controls, EHS change process and CAPA action plans. Support global change controls as needed to ensure progress in higher visibility projects.

Act as project manager for Material Operations projects and drive deliverables and milestones against plan. Conduct GEMBA walks and interface with end-user to ensure appropriate and achievable improvements and/or process changes. Effective communication of project status and escalation of project roadblocks as needed to ensure continuation of project work.

Support Validation projects to ensure proper execution.

Seek out process inefficiencies then work with teams to identify problems, analyze information, and develop and implement solutions. Drive initiatives using QRM approach to ensure compliance and appropriate mitigations for solutions.

Interact with cross-functional Material Operations groups to achieve department and organizational goals.

Collaborates with Manufacturing, MS&T, PMO and Quality staff to ensure utilization of data, systems, and interfaces to optimize efficiency and cGMP compliance.

Interfaces with all levels of the organization, including technicians, scientists, engineers, team managers, administrative staff, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), as well as OpEx partners.

Demonstrates leadership and change management skills.

Accountable for area inspection readiness and provides direct audit support.

Conducts personnel and team performance management including objective setting, performance appraisal reviews and succession planning.

Provides coaching and mentoring. Regularly meets with staff to discuss performance, career, and development.

QUALIFICATIONSSpecific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, etc:This position requires a strong understanding of cGMP and technical knowledge of Supply Chain operations. Working knowledge of SAP, LIMS, Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt experience preferred. Incumbents must have demonstrated experience in improving processes. The role requires an established history of successful participation on diverse work teams where combined contribution, collaboration and results were expected.Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:5+ years of work-related experience in Supply Chain, Quality or Manufacturing. Knowledge of business generally obtained through studies resulting in a B.S. Strong knowledge of Material Operations processes as relate to biologic manufacturing. Has related experience in adapting to a fast-paced, complex and ever changing business environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills specifically with technical writing.
