Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with the ability to design, plan, and execute engineering product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will generate innovative concepts and robust mechanical system designs. This role involves leadership, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and comprehensive technical knowledge across a variety of design disciplines. Responsibilities include generating prints and reports in line with standard quality management systems, managing the engineering change process, and building prototypes for testing and evaluation. Additionally, the candidate will manage component life cycles and specify equivalent replacement parts.Additional Skills & Qualifications

BS Degree, Mechanical Engineering

Design Internship or co-op experience, highly preferred

SolidWorks design experience

0 to 2 years of experience

Hard Skills

Experience with sheet metal, machined components, and molded plastics or other soft polymers

SolidWorks 3D CAD design

FEA software packages

Experience with engineering change process, change control board, drawing formatting/release, part number creation, part revision sequence and bills of materials

Material review board processes including documentation, control of nonconforming product, assessment, and disposition
