Mechanical Engineer

Full Service MEP Firm seeking a Fully Remote Mechanical HVAC Engineer and Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to join their team! You will be working on transit facility and commercial projects. Must live in the tristate area.Job Description:

Design of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems under the guidance of a professional engineer including: domestic hot & cold water, drainage, natural gas systems and various types of fire protection systems.

Perform system design calculations and analyze plumbing and fire protection system options with industry standard engineering and hydraulic calculation software.

Familiar with relative building codes and standards.

Work closely with Sr Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer and project Principal to prepare design documents including plumbing and fire protection systems in basis of design report, drawing (Revit) and specification.

Coordinate work with architect and engineers of other disciplines.

Manage personal tasks for technical accuracy and timely delivery for day to day liaison with Sr .

Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer and project team.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Understanding of Plumbing/Fire Protection

5+ Years of experience designing

Familiar with NFPA13 /NFPA

Revit Experience
