Description:Islip-based HVAC contractor is looking for an Estimator to join their team! This company specializes in commercial MEP projects, including large-scale work like hospitals, high-rises, and hotels. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial MEP construction sector and will be responsible for:
Reviewing and analyzing project specs, drawings, and other documentation required to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and others to understand project scope and requirement.
Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost estimates.
Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, occasional site visits, and client presentations.
Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project managers during the construction phase.
