MS Azure Architect

Our client, a high-end real estate firm, is seeking a highly talented expert level MS Azure Architect.This firm owns and operates the largest U.S.-only portfolio of logistics real estate. They combine scale, cutting-edge technology, and logistics expertise to help their customers grow their businesses. Their portfolio includes more than 500 million square feet in dynamic markets nationwide.This is a full-time, fully remote position (office is located in Midtown Manhattan). You will be responsible for designing, building, implementing, and delivering Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions.

• Modernize infrastructure services within Azure Cloud. This will be done through architecture and engineering of Azure-cloud based infrastructure solutions utilizing automation and deployment methodologies.
• Build out network, security, identity, operations, and governance components of Azure based cloud platform.
• Develop best practices, guidelines, and cost management techniques of utilization of cloud technologies.
• Enforcement of automation standards in conjunction with operationalized solutions from proof of concept through production, further utilizing automation for repeatability and maintainability of system.
• Management and resolution of major incidents as well as any escalated issues for server environment of Azure.
• Oversight of the security, resilience, monitoring, and hosting requirements of server environment.
• Representation of hosting technologies in Change Advisory Board meetings, as well as planning review and architectural meetings.
• Establish target environment from foundational blueprints (HLD/LLD designs & requirements)

• Understanding of Azure architecture in order to produce and secure environments within Azure
• 5+ years of experience with architecture and design from both an on-premise and cloud perspective
• Knowledge of Azure Iaas, PaaS, SaaS services as well as familiarity with foundational computing, storage, networking, access management, security, tenant/subscriptions and additional PaaS services
• Scripting and automation familiarity
• PowerShell, Azure ARM, Azure CLI
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of Okta, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, SAML, OIDC WS-Fed, OAuth Kerberos, and LDAP
• Experience in High Availability and implementation of Disaster recovery practices
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD
