Job Description: The Network Administrator is responsible for the support of a variety of network protocols, settings, configurations and maintenance of software and hardware involved in LAN / WAN operations. This position reports to the Manager, Network Operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert level administration and configuration across a variety of network infrastructure technologies (e.g., routers, switches, ACI, firewalls, load balancer, and QoS).
  • Design workplace solutions. Maintain and improve the security and compliance posture of environments, including continuous monitoring of system health and troubleshooting issues.
  • Monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Research various Service Desk incidents that include the associated cause and effect.
  • Collaborate and mentor Service Desk, Microsoft Team, Development, Information Security and Infrastructure Operations team members to troubleshoot, resolve, and document internal incidents pursuant to established SLAs.
  • Stay current on network infrastructure technologies and share expert-level knowledge and creative solutions for using technology to deliver business value.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with internal team members in Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, and Development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information systems required. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • 4-5 years of IT experience, preferably within a Network Support role. CCNA certification is required. CCNP certification preferred.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including Cisco ACI, Cisco Catalyst switches, and Cisco ISRs.
  • Proficiency with common routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks to meet varying deadlines.
  • Strong and credible interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Excellent critical thinking and customer service skills with a passion for delivering proactive service and continual improvement in results.
