- Supporting enterprise networking systems, including switching, routing, wireless, network access control, Internet edge and VPN;
- Performing Firmware / IOS Upgrades to Cisco Switches, Routers, and Wireless Controllers;
- Performing health checks on Cisco Switches, Routers, Wireless Controllers and ASA Firewalls;
- Supporting enterprise unified collaboration platforms including calling, voicemail, contact center, attendant console, instant messaging, and video conferencing;
- Supporting video, web and audio conferencing services, such as WebEx and Zoom;
- Managing the move, add and change process for provided services, such as office phones, including programming;
- Performing checks to ensure emergency phone services and backup Internet are functional;
- Responding to tickets escalated from the HelpDesk;
- Working independently and with vendors to plan and implement configuration changes, applies patches and performs upgrades on supported systems;
- Maintaining related monitoring and management platforms;
- Proactively looking for opportunities to ensure system security, availability and optimize operations;
- Performing audits to ensure that system resources and licensing are allocated as appropriate, and performs remediation to address discrepancies;
- Documenting systems, creating and maintaining knowledge base articles;
- Maintaining the physical inventory for supported services;
- Performing after action reviews (AAR) post incident;
- Ensuring all work performed is in compliance with Firm security polices and directives; and
- Performing other duties, as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- At least two years of related experience with a focus on customer support, system administration and unified communications, specifically supporting Cisco networks;
- Experience in Cisco hardware provisioning, installation, patching, configuration and troubleshooting. Additionally, must have experience with racking, cabling and patching Cisco hardware in data centers and IDF Closets;
- Experience supporting Cisco ISE for Network Access Control (NAC);
- Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP) preferred;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, and Crystal Reports and databases;
- Knowledge of VOIP and related topics (i.e. SIP, RTP, QOS, DSCP);
- Solid understanding of data networking and related topics including: Switching (STP, Trunking, EtherChannel), Routing Protocols (EIGRP/BGP), Wireless, and Security (DMVPN, IPSEC, 802.1x);
- Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless and VPN technologies;
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI, DNAC and NXOS platform, as well as Palo Alto Firewalls, is a plus;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to own, manage, troubleshoot and escalate problems and implement resolutions while keeping management updated;
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with vendors and employees at all levels;
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, effective time management skills, and ability to multi-task; and
- Must be available to work off-hours as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays, off-hour on-call rotation and occasional business-related travel, as needed.
