Project Description: • Maintains the Wide Area Network (WAN) including connectivity, servers, applications and network hardware and software to ensure system stability, reliability, availability and connectivity to the user community.• Ability to analyze, design, implement and maintain the network’s Load Balancer infrastructure (F5 & AVI).• Assist in planning, implementing, upgrading, or monitoring security measures for the protection of computer networks, systems, and information.• Performs day-to-day network administration tasks including network equipment installation, configuration, and upgrades, testing and troubleshooting (Nexus / ASR / ACI / Catalyst)• Responsible for managing Azure / AWS network infrastructure within a hybrid cloud infrastructure. • Troubleshoots and recommends improvements to network including operating systems and related software and provides tactical and strategic input to overall network planning and related projects.Isolates and resolves network problems in a timely manner.• Responsible for configuration and upgrades on Cisco Firepower Management Center, Firepower Threat Defense Center• Setup and maintain VPN connections on Cisco and Meraki firewalls• Assist Enterprise Management Support team to manage and configure network monitoring tools such as Netscout, Splunk for Network Operation team• Maintains and supports on-line databases, various network applications (e.g. Visio, etc.), and network management platforms (e.g. Netscout, Splunk, Nagios, Riverbed NetIM, Netflow, Netcool, etc,) deployed on the internet, intranet, client-server and mainframe platforms.• Serves as the lead technical resource person in the diagnosis and correction of LAN and WAN problems for all school-based and administrative personnel. This includes failure analysis in a complex- networking environment, which may include mainframe applications, web applications, traditional wide area & DWDM SONET telecommunications network.• Responsible for working with vendors and resolving network outages in a timely fashion in order to meet internal SLAs and / or Metrics.• Lead technical person responsible for the NOC’s trouble ticket queues and associated processes.• Prepares network diagrams, floor plans and schematics using Visio. VMWare,

Desired: Experience with Cisco Nexus family of switches, Cisco Nexus 9k/7k,5k, Cisco ASR, Cisco ISR, & Cisco Catalyst Switch, Cisco ACI or VMware NSXExperience with routing protocols such as, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP v2.Experience with F5 load balancing (LTM, GTM, BIG-IQ) and NSX Advanced Load Balancer (AVI)Experience of the following networking protocols: BGP, RIPv2, OSPF, EIGRP, BFD, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and NAT.Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and L2/L3 switches (Nexus, ASR, Catalyst, ACI, ect)Experience in network security (Cisco ASA & Firepower)Experience in installing routers, switches and firewalls.Experience with high-level designs and documentation.Experience with network packet captures and analysis to resolve complex technical issues.
