Location: Buffalo, NY Description: Our client is currently seeking a NOC Engineer to help deliver a superior client experience and drive scalability for their operations. The Network Operations Team is responsible for managing the globalnetwork and security infrastructure. The team performs multiple operational tasks, projects and engineering aspects in routing, load balancing, monitoring and optimizing the network. Network Operations Center (NOC) is the foundation of the Global Network Operations team which provides active monitoring and remediation of incidents, alerts and any infrastructure stability issues. The team is also responsible for automation to quickly identify and resolve issues.

Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 12+ months Compensation: based on experience; $45-53/hr

Responsibilities:

1. Provide 1st/2nd line technical support & incident management, monitoring for circuits and hardware. Report and track carrier issues, hardware RMA's etc.

2. Manage operational network maintenance activities and implement changes

3. Provide monitoring & fault management and remediation of alerts. Tuning & optimization of monitoring systems

4. Assist with root cause analysis of incidents

5. Assist with periodic network reviews and analysis

6. Help with establishment of operational procedures & support documentation

7. Review, track and update network operations policies, standards and documentation

8. Assist with development of the network management platform adoption, configuration and tuning

9. Complete Daily network checks and operational handover duties

10. Participate in shift rotation coverage

Required Skills:

• 2-4 years' experience in IT infrastructure operations/support role

• Knowledge of network routing and switching technologies and routing protocols

• Experience with various Cisco equipment (routers, switches) Knowledge of:

• Border Gate Protocol (BGP) troubleshooting

• Network Access Systems like Cisco ICE for Cloud

• F5 Load Balancers and troubleshooting

• Primary circuit packet loss troubleshooting • Firewall set-up and checkpoint deployment

• Z scaler

• Nexus switches

• 4500 routers

• 1600 Catalyst modules

• HSRP protocol

• Spine and Leaf config troubleshooting

• AWS/Azure
