Role: NOC Level 3 Network Admin Location: Bethpage, NY (Onsite from Day One) Long term contract
Job Description: Job summary and Responsibilities - Responsible for monitoring, triaging, resolving, escalating and communicating network incidents/outages as part of a 24x7x365.
- Perform third level incident outage triage, troubleshooting, and fix agent break fix actions on Cisco network infrastructure.
- Provide detailed documentation and summaries of incident/outage tickets.
- Ability to work an extended and flexible 24x7 day and night work schedule is required. 5AM to 3:30 PM EST (4 days a week) 2:30 PM to 1 AM EST (4 days a week) 9 PM to 7:30 AM EST (4 days a week) 9AM to 5:30 PM (training period only, 5 days a week)
Primary skills/experience - Network Administration
- Knowledge of IP stack protocols and routing protocols
How are the primary skills/experience applied? Remote support for network infrastructure ranging from minimal up/down to advanced level routing and switching troubleshooting on carrier grade routers/switches. Escalation to engineering teams as needed. Secondary skills/experience How are the secondary skills/experience applied? Troubleshooting specialized carrier grade network devices running Linux on their core. Minimal application logging investigation on some Linux servers. Tertiary skills/experience NA How are the tertiary skills/experience applied? NA Academic Qualifications High school diploma required; BS in Engineering, Computer Science, and Data Communications preferred. Screening Method Verbal (Audio and Video) and Written Licenses / Certifications CCNA required, CCNP Enterprise preferred Job Location New York tristate area with reasonable proximity to Bethpage NY.
