Job Description:
  • 84 months of designing/architecting applications on Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
  • 84 months of experience designing/architecting Java applications and services. Must have experience designing these applications to be containerized.
  • 48 months experience with cloud SQL or Oracle DB.
  • 48 months of experience in ensuring the application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality, and mentor development teams to build cloud competencies
  • 48 months experience with RESTful web service development and API architecture.
  • 36 months experience designing/architecting applications deployed on Kubernetes Engine or Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) including documentation, continuous integration, and deployments.

Project: Enhancing Detection Expansion -CDMS

Detailed Job Description: The Expert Software Architect will support efforts to move critical DOH system data for COVID-19 response to the cloud, potentially inclusive of data for the New York State Immunization Information System, Electronic Clinical Laboratory Reporting System, Countermeasure Data Management System, and the Healthcare Events Response Data System. Movement of this data to the cloud supports data availability outside of our existing infrastructure to a variety of users and provides access for supplemental project needs and reporting activities. The Expert Software Architect will coordinate and architect all enhancement requests to integrate with system current design to allow for rapid Agile implementation.
