Project: Contract Tracking System Operations

Detailed Job Description:
  • The Contract Tracking System (CTS) is an application that facilitates and manages the contract procurement process for the NYC Department of Education (DOE). CTS functions as a process management system, tracking the end-to-end process from request through to contract registration. Billions of dollars in contracts flow through DCP each year, ultimately for the benefit of 1.2 million students. As such, CTS is an absolutely essential application.
  • The Division of Contracts and Purchasing (DCP) is responsible for the maintenance of the application, ensuring that it is always operational and available for staff use. DCP regularly needs to do development work on CTS in order to add new functionality and modify existing functionality, based on changing business requirements. Technical maintenance and development of CTS requires a very specific skillset that does not exist within DCP’s staff.
