Subject matter expert on instructing patients with collections of various specimen types. Performs all processes and procedures according to protocol. Responsible for accurate patient identification, specimen integrity and sample labeling. Interacts with customers in a pleasant, efficient and cooperative manner. Performs work in a fast pace environment. Works cooperatively with peers, gives and receives constructive feedback. Responsible for training, educating and mentoring new and existing staff, troubleshooting and resolving problems. Must be able to prioritize work, accommodate scheduling adjustments, and have good decision making skills. Must maintain a professional image at all times. Participates on special projects as assigned by the management team and serves as a resource to others. May be required to attend the Mayo Clinic phlebotomy training program.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required. A graduate of a phlebotomy training program that provides a clinical rotation OR 3 months of phlebotomy work experience is required.
