Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking a Senior CAD Specialist to support our structural team in Latham, NY to work on exciting local, regional and national projects. This is a part-time position which will work on-site at our Latham, NY office.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Works under general direction of a lead engineer

Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of a project manager and/or senior structural engineer.

Performs advanced applications, scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines

Responsible for setting own project deadlines

Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation

Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines

Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions

Primary focus is CADD for bridges and other structural projects

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments

May lead less experienced drafters

Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff

Monitors and documents conformance with quality and/or code requirements

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

Bachelor's + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Demonstrated experience working on bridge rehabilitation and/or replacement projects

Preferred Requirements

10 years of related experience

Demonstrated expertise using CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD)

Familiarity with NYSDOT and/or NYSTA design standards

Ability to coordinate and work on multi-discipline design projects
