Description: Job Title: Principal Program Manager Job Code: SAS20220212-94202 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Description: L3Harris Space Systems is seeking a Principal Program Manager to support the National Electro-Optical Systems (NEOS) business area within the Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Segment of L3Harris. NEOS programs envelop the full lifecycle from capture to delivery of innovative electro-optical space mission solutions to meet our nation’s most critical needs. Program Manager responsibilities include accountability for program execution, customer satisfaction, and the overall financial performance of assigned programs. The Principal Program Manager is responsible for inspiring employees to achieve high performance, accountable for delivering growth, accomplishing business objectives, and ensuring the efficient deployment of internal investments. NEOS Program Manager’s also execute at times in a capture management capacity to win identified new business pursuits &/or grow current program scope. Essential Functions: Independently manage medium-large size/complexity program(s) Accountable for program P&L including cost, schedule, technical performance to meet customer and business commitments Primary customer liaison for all program activities Effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders Ability to develop and foster cross-business area/sector/segment collaboration Work in a highly dynamic and changing environment and adapt to shifting customer priorities Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous internal groups and individuals Develop and maintain broad set of customer relationships Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, Statement of Work (SOW), and financial terms/conditions of contract Effectively negotiate program/contract terms, scope, and changes Integrate business acumen, value proposition, budget/funding options, competitive landscape, and business case development to inform business area pursuit and investment strategies For Capture activities, support pursuit team through the new business decision process including development of win strategy, price to win, competitive analysis and technical baseline. Engage across the L3Harris enterprise including BD, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Mission Architecture, and Operations Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance, or recent background investigation is preferred Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the enterprise Dynamic, success driven, entrepreneurial self-starter that drives change every day for a stronger, better business Preferred Additional Skills: Program management experience with Department of Defense, Air Force, Space Force, or Intelligence Community Understanding of electro-optical satellite, payload, and mission products PMP Certification Knowledge of Government contracting practices, Earned Value Management (EVMS), and standard program reporting metrics Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, even when having no direct authority over them Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion Able to provide/reinforce the credibility and commitment of L3Harris at appropriate levels in customer community L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
