What We Do

Enterprise Change Resiliency Office Overview (ECRO) The ECRO for BNY Mellon, a first-line enterprise-wide office, which leads the Firm-s change management and resiliency functions.

Enterprise Change Office Overview (ECO) In order to strengthen an Enterprise-wide approach to Program Delivery and establish a scalable resilient operating model that builds delivery capabilities across Technology, Operations, the lines of business and support functions, BNY Mellon has evolved how we deliver programs of change across the bank. As part of this strategy, a new ECO has been created to provide central oversight, governance, and strategic execution. The ECO establishes policy and performs a governance function with select enterprise program delivery accountability founded on a federated model that partners with the program delivery teams from Technology, Operations, the lines of business and other functional areas across the organization.

The successful candidate will:
  • Lead a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications.
  • May allocate/coordinate work within projects.
  • Manages and oversees end to end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of medium business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization).
  • Directs and controls all work performed within the framework of the work structure.
  • Assists in developing detailed project plans and schedules application/infrastructure projects, including goals, risks and resource allocation.
  • Monitors project results for significant deviations.
  • Contributes to vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met.
  • Maintains regular contact with clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments.
  • May provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals.
  • Works with all required Information Technology functions and groups to effectively plan and execute the project. May coordinate resources across organizational boundaries.
  • Serves as a liaison between clients and internal technical groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Manages communication with the business at a detailed functional level and discusses/resolves issues.
  • Manages client expectations and ensures project delivery in conformance with company software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
  • Perform central monitoring and control of multiple projects
  • May build a PMO Team for large programs
  • Facilitate governance, change control and dependency management for Large programs

General Role Description Leads and provides direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications. Manages and oversees the end to end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of high business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization). Defines and manages the lifecycle from project initiation through to program closure. Manages and resolves risks, issues and dependencies. Measures and monitors program actuals, forecasts and budgets and updates plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner. Follows financial standards & processes (e.g. monthly external revenue accruals, software capitalization, procurement & external payments). Reports financial information and status to the required executive level through steering committees. Secures, leads, motivates and inspires the internal & external resources required to deliver the program. Establishes the program s governance (e.g. sponsors, approvers, stakeholders). Manages Program Office Resources. May have formal management responsibility for Program Team members. Serves as a liaison between clients and internal technical groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Has regular contact among peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations. Provides advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy. Ensures project delivery is in conformance with company methodologies and standards. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial.
  • Ten to twelve (10-12) years of related project management experience is required.
  • Experience with technology or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience with designing or leading a Project Management Office for large program is beneficial.
