Private Caretaker (Bedside Sitter)

Location: Meadowbrook Care Center

Position Type: Part-Time (Monday - Friday)

Hours: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Pay: $15/hour (paid in cash)

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable bedside sitter to provide private care giving support for a family member in a rehabilitation facility. The caretaker will play an essential role in ensuring the patient’s comfort, proper care, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the patient during mealtime by feeding them food when served.

- Ensure nurses are routinely changing the patient’s diaper and maintaining proper hygiene.

- Monitor that the patient is receiving proper medical care, attention, and prescribed medications.

- Provide companionship and attentiveness to the patient’s needs.

- Communicate any concerns or changes in the patient’s condition to the family promptly.

- Address any additional patient necessities as they arise.

Requirements:

- Must be bilingual in Spanish.

- Previous care giving or bedside care experience is preferred.

- Strong sense of responsibility and attentiveness.

- Ability to communicate effectively with facility staff and family members.

- Kind, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
