Job Title: Lead Process Mechanical Engineer (Wastewater Design)We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Wastewater Design Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will have strong experience in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system design, with experience preparing construction documents and technical reports. As a Lead Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.Work Environment:This is a 100% REMOTE opportunity Schedule:Flexible - Monday - Friday (7am-4pm OR 9am-6pm)Responsibilities:
Design wastewater treatment plants, pumping systems, and other water infrastructure projects
Prepare construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports
Lead design tasks and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery
Develop and review engineering calculations and designs for wastewater treatment plants and pumping systems
Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and designers
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
3-8 years of experience in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system design
EIT certification preferred
Experience preparing construction documents including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports for a variety of municipal water and wastewater projects
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MathCAD
Experience as a Task Design Lead or equivalent role
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
Experience with design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, or similar programs
Strong communication and collaboration skills
