Job DescriptionJoin our Emergency Department team as an ED Processor and play a crucial role in coordinating patient care, processing physician orders, and ensuring smooth department operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, this position is for you! Your Schedule:
Combination of mid and evening shifts, 11:00AM - 7PM and 3:00PM to 11:30PM
Every other weekend
What You'll Do:
Process ED physician orders & coordinate department activities
Greet patients, families & visitors with professionalism & compassion
Manage telephone communications, including specialist & transfer coordination
Accurately enter orders for lab, imaging, and other diagnostic services
Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and bed placements
Communicate with case management, social work, and other medical staff
Maintain accurate records, logs, and schedules
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of healthcare experience (ED experience preferred)
Strong computer skills & knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication & multitasking abilities
BLS certification (within 90 days of hire)
Physical Demands:
Light physical effort required
Frequently lifting 15 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs.
Reaching, stooping, and extended periods of computer work
