Our client, a streaming service is currently seeking a

Product Manager for a

fully remote role.

Please note: This position is a 6 month contract to potential hire role with an anticipated start date of October 10th

Overview: We re looking for an experienced product manager to help drive our distributed tracing strategy in Operational Health product area - we are a division dedicated to making sure that the ecosystem continues to operate reliably and efficiently. In this role, you will set the direction for how our firm adopts and makes use of distributed tracing technology. You will be responsible for reshaping our existing product strategy, help our engineers design and deliver the right distributed tracing solutions and engage users to make sure we're building the right things.

Your role and responsibilities: - Help develop product strategy for distributed tracing informed by user insights, market analysis and internal programs/assets. - Establish business metrics, collect key user pain points, perform build vs. buy analysis to decide on optimization or new product development. Maintain an active view of key distributed tracing vendors and open source communities/technologies and their anticipated next moves. - Work closely with our engineers on defining a detailed roadmap based on Spotify's infrastructure observability strategy. - Own the full product lifecycle from defining requirements, to delivery, to end of life. - Collaborate with key partners across the organization to make sure that you collaboratively provide for the company s short- and long-term goals. - Partner with other product managers to provide a world-class developer experience for Spotify engineers.

Required Qualifications:

- 4+ years of software technical product management, software engineering, or an equivalent educational and career background.

- Strong experience in software development from planning to delivery. - Strong understanding of how modern technology systems communicate and are observed. - Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, including data analysis. - Experience with distributed tracing technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Zipkin, Jaeger. - Understanding/experience with real user or synthetic monitoring.
