As a member of the Structures, the candidate will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and overseeing bridge replacement and bridge inspection projects in New York City.Under the supervision of higher-level staff, the incumbent of this position will provide support to Bridge Management Program in Region 11 Structures Group as the Consultant Job Manager or Regional Hydraulic Engineer (RHE).The incumbent of this position will be the Consultant Job Manager for biennial and interim inspection of arterial and local bridges. Duties may include but are not limited to: Directly manage the five-year diving inspection program including removing and adding bridges to the current year and five-year diving program. Coordinate diving inspection and perform Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of the diving inspection reports. Review and maintain Hydraulic Vulnerability Assessment (HVA) reports performed by Consultant. Coordinate with Consultants for the post-flood inspections of bridges on the Flood Watch list Coordinate with consultants for the re-evaluation of bridges with scour or stream channel low ratings based on inspection reports.
