Program Manager / Project Manager with extensive software development project experience

Required experience/skills:

PMP certified preferred

Around 15-20 years of experience in managing large software development projects

Typical project team size of 30+ members and value 10M+

Strong project communication skills and ability to interact with business/technical stakeholders
Present project status, issues, escalations, risks and mitigations, and scope changes to stakeholders and obtain resolution
Experience in creating and maintaining Project Schedule (MPP) and Project Management Plan

Work with Technical Project managers to ensure timely and quality deliverables, within approved budget
Perform rigorous Change management and obtain client approval on Scope changes

Manage KPIs around solutions delivery and quality, per CMMI software engineering practices
5 - 8 years of hands-on web application/product development experience using distributed technologies
Has progressed on an IT career, from Software Developer to Team Lead to Project/Program Manager

Experience with state/city government agencies’ development projects is preferred
