Job Description:

Our client, located in NYC, is looking for a consultant who is a Project Manager to work support the Finance group of a global investment bank delivering projects related to Accounting, Tax, Regulatory Reporting, Product Control and Treasury functions.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • All candidates must be able to work on W2.
  • The client is in a remote work model, but returning to a Hybrid model in 2022.

THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver complex change projects from design through to build, deployment and handover to the business.
  • Manage Full Project Lifecycle adhering to management standard governance and best practices from project initiation to closure Works closely with relevant business and key stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of project(s).
  • Create/maintain Project Plans, revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Ability to describe complex problems and solutions, influencing Senior Management and potential external regulators
  • Understand Project budgeting; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances, Project Plan baseline and change control and initiates corrective actions.
  • Write project status reports for Stakeholders; coordinate/provide updates to steering committees, anticipate/react to change.
  • Identify/manage interdependencies with other projects.
  • Produce management information surrounding project health and delivery of Progress Plans.
  • Manage/escalate risks and issues to determine priorities and feed strategy.
  • Identify resource demand and assign responsibilities. Reschedule project if resource capacity is unavailable.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project(s).
  • Coordinate project implementation "Go-Lives" and handover to relevant RTB Technology & Support groups.
  • Work with Program PMO to ensure project governance and project delivery processes are set up and have a complete audit trails.
  • Work closely with technology and business product owners to design/deliver a fit for purpose solution.
  • Manage/provide oversight to other project managers

BUSINESS SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 5+ years delivering projects to financial services institutions, within time and budget
  • Has successfully led/delivered Full Life Cycle complex Finance projects with experience in multiple workstream deliveries across multiple delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
  • Clear understanding of Change Management in a corporate environment.
  • Securities industry experience is a big plus.
  • BCBS239 experience.
  • Strong staff management and team organization for project delivery and deadline management.
  • Demonstrable track record managing multiple stakeholders, building relationships across diverse skill sets and across the international organization.
  • Experience managing budgets, identifying project outputs, outcomes tracking delivery of Business benefits along with managing staff knowledge of accounting, finance and data governance functions
  • Strong communication and leadership with a strong governance approach to delivery.
  • Experience of demand and supply management.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Experience with

    Project Management tools - Prince2 or PMP Project Management methodology and Certification
  • Excellent

    MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with

    Jira, Confluence, Planview and PowerBI.
  • Knowledge of

    Oracle Fusion Cloud and Broadridge systems
