Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.

Job Description:The role will be part of the Markets Front Office organization and will be a key part of the in-business risk & control team responsible for devising and delivering a multi-phase program of booking controls. This is an exciting opportunity for a practically minded, seasoned professional with an in-depth knowledge of traded products combined with a clear understanding of Front Office trading controls.

The candidate must be an individual experienced in project management and with sufficient subject matter expertise to be able to provide meaningful solutions that are functional and sustainable.

Primary Responsibilities:• Manage and coordinate delivery on scoping, design, and implementation of preventative controls to ensure a complete, effective and efficient first line control framework across the range of Markets products and systems.• Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control, and a variety of IT teams amongst others• Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs• Engage senior stakeholders continuously by capturing and escalating and resolving issues as they arise• Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees• Analyze variations in trade bookings across asset classes and applications to ensure these are considered in the design of all control implementations• Partner with 1LOD businesses and technology teams to ensure compliance with relevant Firm policies/standards, also external regulatory expectations and industry standards where relevant• Ensure that relevant booking control standards and control documentation is kept up to date, and booking practices are considered as businesses introduce new products or changes.
