Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Project Manager U.S Treasury Risk Oversight assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY. This position will be a hybrid role, with 2-3 days in office. Responsibilities :

  • Support governance and policy documentation efforts and provide feedback to Treasury owned documents
  • Participate in meetings to ensure materials and minutes are accurate and distributed in a timely manner
  • Identify action items and coordinate with action item owners to track/ensure timely resolution
  • Coordinate project plans for the liquidity projects
  • Establish and maintain tracker files for monitoring of gaps and communicate issues in forums to identify and prioritize solutions
  • Partner with Risk functions, Internal Audit and other stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Technology, business lines) to build strong risk management processes.
  • Act thoughtfully and quickly in situations which involve uncertainty and/or significant risk. Understand the sense of urgency to accomplish tasks on time.
  • Demonstrate confidence in one's assessments, ideas, and judgement capabilities.
  • Adapt to and work effectively with various individuals or groups in a variety of situations. Be proactive in understanding or opposing perspectives.
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of Treasury / Balance Sheet and Risk Management.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience preferably within the financial industry
  • Previous experience with developing and implementing policy documents and procedures
  • Previous experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Previous experience making presentation packages with PowerPoint
  • Excellent communications skills to coordinate with high ranking individuals internally and across many different functions including Risk and Finance
  • Self-starter that actively engages issues seeking resolution, ability to meet dynamic changes on prioritization
  • Candidate will interact daily with the technology and treasury team
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight
  • Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running
  • Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
  • Strong investigation, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Candidate must have an open mind when it comes to approach, and be able to assess each situation separately
  • Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding
  • Good task management
  • Ability to work independently this candidate will be trained up but should be expected to do the day to day work on their own
Preferred Skills:
  • Hands on experience with Liquidity stress testing or Regulatory reporting
  • Power BI experience
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, etc or other finance domain preferred
