The Project Manager will provide oversight of the implementation of the new County-wide Wireless Voice and Data Communications Network System. Qualified Candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience of hand-on project managing of large scale public safety grade wireless telecommunications projects and systems
  • Project manage, oversee, and validate the prime system contractor's design, integration, implementation, and all associated installation tasks and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of FCC regulations, compliance, and licensing requirements
  • Ensure that technical requirements, and all associated telecommunications features, functionality, and operations meet the required contractual specifications
  • Experience with various telecommunications systems including but not limited to microwave, simulcasting, P25 digital, trunking, conventional digital and analog, network administration, acceptance test procedures, alarming systems and associated test equipment, diagnoses, results interpretation and the presentation of resolutions as required
  • Ability to recognize and diagnose a variety of wireless operational and radio coverage issues
  • Excellent technical documentation and customer service skills
