Description Job Description:We are looking for a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Purchasing Agent to oversee the purchasing and procurement of supplies and services. The Purchasing Agent will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our company secures the best products and services for the best prices.Responsibilities:

Evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, and delivery speed and determine the most cost-effective and efficient purchases.

Negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.

Compare and evaluate proposals from different suppliers, and make purchase recommendations.

Monitor inventory levels and determine purchase needs.

Request quotes and manage bid process from potential vendors and suppliers.

Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain related records.

Review product quality and effectiveness after purchase and return unacceptable items.

Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.

Collaborate with other departments to identify future needs and develop strategies for fulfilling those needs.

Stay informed of current market trends and advancements in relevant technology.

Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or similar role.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and purchasing and inventory management software.

Great organizational and planning skills.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, procurement, logistics, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
