Company Description: A technologically advanced family owned manufacturing company experienced with producing close tolerance CNC precision turned, machined, fabricated/welded components, electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures servicing major corporations.Job Summary: The ideal candidate should have the ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings including GD&T and drawing specifications to determine which is the most effective and efficient method to use to verify the accuracy of any product and plan for it accordingly. The candidate must also provide day to day leadership to QA personnel along with Manufacturing and Engineering Teams.Reports To: PresidentRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in appropriate Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics or Applied Sciences or Quality related work experience and held a Quality Engineering position with similar requirements.Strong written and verbal communication skillsA minimum of 3-5 years managing a Quality Department.Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 35lbs.Job Responsibilities:Provide day to day QA Engineering support to the manufacturing and engineering teams.Oversee the inspection of First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspection.Maintain priorities and planning work schedules for the department to ensure effective use of resources.Manage a current QMS processes and champion continuous improvement goals.Create and execute annual performance reviews for all department employees.Oversee and participate in administration of CARS, SCARS and deviation requests.Fully resolve quality issues/discrepancies. This includes, but is not limited to, working with cross-functional teams, collecting and analyzing data, taking appropriate action as a result of data analysis and communicating with management, suppliers and customers.Understanding customer performance/quality requirements, measuring our performance against these requirements, taking action when needed and communicating to appropriate parties.Preside over MRB activities to investigate root cause of non-conforming/defective product and implement corrective and preventive actions and verifying the overall effectiveness.Produce quality work, meeting requirements of company policies, procedures and industry standards.Establish quality control plans and develop control strategies to ensure product achieves quality targets and apply error proofing techniques.Act as main contact for customers regarding Quality issue.Review customer prints and generate quality/process plans.Manage new product launches.
