Position DescriptionLeads and completes complex quality engineering assignments. Performs statistical analysis of data to provide information to meet quality standards. Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms advanced quality assurance assignments and projects; participates in new models development process; performs Quality Management System documentation activitiesCoordinates complex product/process capability studiesLeads problem solving teams; identifies root causes, implements corrective actions and verifies effectivenessDevelops product/process procedures including development of performance metricsPerforms statistical analysis used in problem solving, quality improvement projects & Six Sigma teamsPerforms layouts, reads and understands geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Investigates customer complaints, develops corrective action plans and verifies effectivenessLeads Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) teams and the development and improvement of Control Plans.Serves as a liaison between supplier and company in quality activitiesPerforms other duties as assigned Job Skills RequirementsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with diverse groups of internal and external customersProven ability to prepare and present technical informationExtensive technical knowledge and background of quality and manufacturing processes including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), layout and gaging; machining methods and assembly processes as well as statistical process control (SPC) and statistical techniquesExtensive knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools including control plans and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skillsStrong time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skillsDemonstrated ability to work with individually or in a team environment as well as the ability to help mentor less experienced team membersFluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location CompetenciesEducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related fieldExperience RequirementsThree years of related experience in engineering, purchasing or quality fieldFundamental quality experience in machining or assembly type operationsEnterprise wide reporting system experience preferredCertifications PreferredASQ Quality AuditorASQ Quality EngineerSix Sigma Black-BeltPhysical & Environmental RequirementsDomestic and/or International travel as required up to 25% Estimated pay range: 75k-105k
