Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences s currently recruiting for a major health organization in Newark, NY to assist with their search for a dedicated Patient Access Coordinator on 3rd shift! This position does require you to be 100% ONSITE APPLY TODAY!Schedule:Upon hire you will work a non-standard workweek (Sunday-Saturday), 11pm-7:30am, alternating weekends (will receive 2 days off per week, set days).Pay Rate:The wage for this position is between $18 and $20. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.As the Patient Access Coordinator you will:
Manage incoming calls while providing necessary information.
Greet patients and/or their representatives and providing direction as needed.
Schedule and/or preschedule patient appointments.
Interview the patient and/or their representative for necessary information and completing the registration process as defined by departmental policy.
Identify services where no payment source has been identified to be followed up by communication of financial assistance and/or payment arrangements.
Verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtaining necessary precertification’s/authorizations when applicable.
Collect/process co-payments, deductibles and/or other types of payments.
Provide an estimate of cost when applicable.
Review charges in charge review WQs for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure the accuracy of all data collected while meeting the regulatory requirements as outlined by the departmental policy.
Communicate with external customers such as but not limited to; payers, physician offices and other departments.
Set up new patient record via Care Connect.
Requirements:
MUST have High School diploma or equivalent
Prior healthcare experience, preferred
Prior customer service experience
